Kamani Holmes has lived in Oakland and Richmond throughout his life. He is the CEO and founder of a magazine called The Reentry Guide, which helps people transition into society from incarceration. He is a member of the Determination Black Men’s Group and the Social Justice Committee, working to bring 1400 full-time, quality jobs to formerly incarcerated folks in Alameda County. Kamani is passionate about being a peace advocate, working with youth and the community, and enjoys doing things that are relevant to his culture and history. One of his future goals is to go to school for his Bachelor’s degree.[1]
