Template:TOCnestleft Pippa Norris is the McGuire Lecturer in Comparative Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

She recently served as Director of the Democratic Governance Group in the United Nations Development Program New York.

She has worked as an external consultant for many international bodies (United Nations, UNESCO, National Democratic Institute, the Council of Europe, International IDEA, the World Bank, National Endowment for Democracy and the UK Electoral Commission).

Her work compares elections and public opinion, democratic institutions and cultures, political communications, and gender politics in different countries.

Fundacion Ideas

The Fundacion Ideas, or IDEAS Foundation for Progress was created during the 37th Federal Congress of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) in 2008 to establish a “think-tank with the capacity to bring novel progressive ideas to the arena of political and social debate in an ever changing world.” Its mission is to identify challenges and opportunities and offer innovative and imaginative solutions that are at the same time rigorous from a scientific point of view and politically deliverable.[1]

American members of the Fundacion Ideas Scientific Committee include Joseph Stiglitz, Jeffrey Sachs, George Lakoff, Jeremy Rifkin, Pippa Norris.[2]
