Nestor Castillo... is a lecturer in the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University and a columnist for El Tecolote, a bilingual newspaper based in the San Francisco Mission District.

Committees of Correspondence conference

Nestor Castillo spoke[1]at the 6th National Convention of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS) at San Francisco's Whitcomb Hotel July 23-26 2009 at the youth and student organizing workshop. Nestor Castillo, a Bay Area solidarity activist chaired, while Pete Sherman of Young Workers United, Camille Williamson of Chicago's Southwest Youth Collaborative, and Keith Joseph of the New Brunswick NJ Democrats for Change made presentations.

In 2009 Nestor Castillo, Northern California , was elected to the National Co-ordinating Committee of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and and Socialism from the member's post National Convention ballot[2].
