Socialist Scholars Conference 1992

Aristide Zolhberg, New School for Social Research, Peter Townsend, Luciana Castellina, Member, European Parliament and Hans Janitscheck, Socialist International were speakers on the Social and Economic Impact of the European Union panel sponsored by the Michael Harrington Center at the Tenth Annual Socialist Scholars Conference. The conference was held April 24-26, 1992 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, New York City[3]

International Green Left Conference

Easter 1994, Jeanette Fitzsimons spoke at an International Green Left Conference in Sydney on women in New Zealand politics.

Three women shared her panel. Dulce Maria Pereira (PT, Brazil) Christabel Chamarette, (Greens Senator, Western Australia) and Luciana Castellina(Euro MP and directorate member, Party of Communist Refoundation, Italy).[4]

Socialist Scholars 1997

The Democratic Socialists of America sponsored 1997 Socialist Scholars Conference was held March 28- 30 at the Borough of Manhattan Community College in New York[5].

Communist "Manifestivity"

On October 30 and 31, 1998 the Brecht Forum presented the "Communist Manifestivity to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Communist Manifesto" at Cooper Union's Great Hall, New York.
