In 2019 Liz Lavertu stood from AD 71 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.[1]

Progressive Caucus

Liz Lavertu, was in 2017, an At-Large Officer, California Democratic Party Progressive Caucus.

Liz Lavertu is an assembly district delegate for AD-71, Vice President of the San Diego Progressive Democratic Club, elected to Spring Valley Planning Board, and served as a delegate to Bernie Sanders in 2016. She believes the Progressive Caucus needs to be an action based organization that spearheads and pushes progressive platform issues through local, state and federal legislation. She would like to see more focus not only on endorsements for progressive candidates, but getting those candidates elected to assist us in having our voices heard. She would also like to see a stronger push for voter outreach and education for the progressive platform/issues. There is a new awakening to the injustices that surround all of us and we need to harness this energy to create a better tomorrow..[2]
