Lena K. Gardner is one of the co-founders and leaders of the Black Lives Matter Minneapolis chapter. She is also a member of the Black Lives of Unitarian Universalist.[1]

Bio

"Lena K. Gardner is one of the co-founders and leaders of the Black Lives Matter Minneapolis chapter, she works for the UU Church of the Larger Fellowship and is a part of the founding leaders of the Black Lives of Unitarian Universalist Organizing Collective (BLUU). She worships and is a member at First Universalist Church of Minneapolis, lives in Northeast Minneapolis with her cat Merlin and loves the Boundary Waters. She graduated in 2015 with her master of arts in Justice and Peace studies. Lena serves as the Executive Director of Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism."

In September 2019 Lena K. Gardner was one of 100 black leaders, many affiliated with Liberation Road who signed A letter from the movement to the movement defending Maurice Moe Mitchell and Nelini Stamp of the Working Families Party for endorsing Elizabeth Warren instead of Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
