Asian Americans for Equality celebrated their 40th Anniversary Gala, November 18, 2014, at Tribeca 360, 10 Debrosses St NYC.

Honored "Agents of Change" included Ken Cohen;[1]

Ken Cohen is a Bronx native who graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice before becoming a licensed electrician. Having lived in Queens since 1952, Ken became involved in the Flushing Suburban Civic Association, where serves as President. Ken and his family founded the 75th Avenue Playground Volunteer Group, providing homework help, assistance in reading and offered community service for local high school students and young Family Court offenders. Ken has served on Community School Board District 25, Community Board 8 and as President of the NAACP Queens Chapter, he has spearheaded efforts to involve the immigrants of Queens in the ongoing fight for equal rights..
