Greater Lansing Democratic Socialists of America is Michigan affiliate of Democratic Socialists of America.

Our chapter's endorsed candidates for Lansing City Council (Brandon Betz and Yanice Jackson) advanced through their primaries. Come help us knock on doors to make sure they win the general election! Please bring a charged smartphone or tablet and wear comfortable shoes.

Hosting Tlaib and Pope

On October 5, 2017, the Greater Lansing Democratic Socialists of America hosted a discussion about development in Lansing and the need for a community benefits ordinance to ensure that the people of Lansing actually benefit from tax incentives. Rashida Tlaib (Sugar Law Center) and Miguel Pope (Detroit People's Platform) presented their experiences in working to implement a community benefits ordinance in Detroit.[3]

City Council candidates respond to DSA questionnaire

Five Lansing City Council candidates responded to a questionnaire sent out by the Greater Lansing DSA for a primary held August 8, 2017. The general election scheduled November 7.[4]
