Fiona Tregenna is an South African Communist Party Central Committee member and University of Johannesburg economics lecturer.

Background

Fiona Tregenna is working on her Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Cambridge. She holds degrees from the Universities of Massachusetts (Amherst), Witwatersrand, and Natal. Her main areas of interest are macroeconomics and political economy. She worked for the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) as well as previously for its research institute, the National Labour and Economic Development Institute (NALEDI), doing research, policy, and political work. She has also taught courses at the Universities of the Witwatersrand and Massachusetts. Ms. Tregenna has published various working papers, book chapters, articles, and policy documents.

Comrades co-opted by the SACP Central Committee

As of December 2010, the South African Communist Party website listed these "comrades" as having been "co-opted" to the party's Central Committee.[1]
