Standing for AD 47

In 2019 Ana Gonzalez stood from AD 47 for the California Democratic Party Central Committee.

As we face difficult and divisive times in our country, we need leaders who will unify the communities, engage and educate the voters about how our government works. My name is Ana Gonzalez and it has been an honor to serve the 47th Assembly District as a delegate for the last two years. The experience in the California Democratic Party has been a unique one, progress has been made, but there is still much work to be done.

I have been involved in party politics for the last three years. I serve San Bernardino County as the President of the Chicano Latino Caucus, and VP of Administration for the San Bernardino County Young Democrats. I have been and continue to be an organizer to empower our communities and encourage civic engagement. I work closely with elected officials to discuss legislation and new ideas that will bring resources to our communities. I have worked tirelessly doing voter registration to make sure everyone is civically involved and participates in the voting process.

My passion is to move our party forward to empower the grassroots organizers, by giving them the tools and knowledge to help get more democrats elected that represent the values of our progressive democratic platform and those who will fight for equity and opportunities for all. I want to continue working with fellow delegates, union members, and organizers to make sure the IE is represented in the CDP and that we work in unity to achieve justice and equity for all.[1]
