Early activism
Sherri Levine once served as a research assistant for the National Association of Working Women and as director of the Cleveland Abortion Rights Action League.
While in Cleveland, she served on the Youth Section executive committee and was active in the Cleveland DSA local. She got her BA in Women's Studies from Oberlin College in 1985. [1]

Law School
In 1990, Sherri Levine, DSA educational director, left the office in August to go to New York University Law School. [3]
Democratic Left
In 1991, the Editorial Committee of Democratic Left, the journal of Democratic Socialists of America, consisted of Joanne Barkan, Sherri Levine, Neil McLaughlin, Maxine Phillips, Jan Rosenberg and Mitch Horowitz.[4]
