A Boston Democratic Socialists of America Forum "After Capitalism: Socialist Alternatives-A discussion with David Schweickart" was held March 3, at the Tellus Institute 11 Arlington Street, Boston.
Respondents:
- Ellen Frank,writes the regular “Doctor Dollar” column for Dollars and Sense magazine, and is Senior Economic Analyst at the Poverty Institute at Rhode Island College. She is the author of The Raw Deal: How Myths and Misinformation about the Deficit, Inflation and Wealth Impoverish America, and a member of Democratic Socialists of America.
- Noemi Gizpenc, MIT ’98, has worked as a research assistant at the World Bank and currently at Ownership Associates Inc., a consulting form addressing the needs of companies with employee ownership. Noemi is a coordinating member of the Sustainable Future Forum, an action and discussion group on issues of sustainability.
- Pasqualino Columbaro, has been active in the trade union movement in the U.S. and Italy for many years. Chair of the New Priorities Committee of Jobs with Justice, he helped organize last year’s Boston Social Forum.[1]
