The Occupy Burlington (Vermont) demonstration is a part of the Occupy Movement which began on Sept. 17, 2011 with the original Occupy Wall Street demonstration in New York City. The demonstration is based across the street from the State Capitol building.

Death

Joshua Pfenning, 35, committed suicide at the Occupy Burlington site on November 10, 2011. Pfenning reportedly aimed a gun at three individuals in a tent before turning the gun on himself.[1][2]
