Doris Grieser Marquit is the wife of Erwin Marquit.
Communist Party reformer
In 1991, Doris Marquit was one of several hundred Communist Party USA members to sign the a paper "An initiative to Unite and Renew the Party" - most signatories left the Party after the December 1991 conference to found Committees of Correspondence.[1]

In 1992 Doris Marquit[2]was involved with the Marxist Education Press, University of Minnesota.

At the Committees of Correspondence conference, Berkeley California, July 17-19, 1992, was a candidate[3]for the CoC National Coordinating Committee-from Minneapolis-Womens Studies teacher and Women's International League for Peace & Freedom activist.
Communist Party MLK tribute
On January 19, 2002, the Communist Party USA newspaper, Peoples Weekly World published a signed tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr..
We salute Dr. King’s courage and vision. He saw and struggled for an America and world that can be. We pledge in his memory to work to reorder our nation’s priorities “so that the pursuit of peace will take precedence over the pursuit of war.”
Signatories included Doris Marquit . Almost all signatories were confirmed members of the Communist Party USA[4].
Endorsed Communist Party Call
On March 30 2002 the Communist Party USA paper People’s Weekly World called for a national holiday in honor of late Farm Workers Union leader Cesar Chavez. The article was followed by a long list of endorsers[5]including Doris Marquit, Almost all endorsers were confirmed members of the Communist Party USA.

In the late 2000s, Doris Marquit was book reviews editor of University of Minnesota based Marxist journal Nature, Society and Thought[6];.
Supporting Mark Ritchie
In 2006, four leaders of the Minnesota/Dakotas Communist Party USA - Mark Froemke, Doris Marquit, Erwin Marquit and Peter Molenaar were listed as supporters of the Mark Ritchie Minnesota Secretary of state campaign.[7]
In 2006[8] and 2010[9] Doris Marquit and Erwin Marquit financially supported the Mark Ritchie Minnesota Secretary of State campaigns.
