Coalition on Human Needs

The Coalition on Human Needs (CHN) is a network of organizations that promote public policies to help "low-income and other vulnerable populations." The organization's members include civil rights, religious, labor and professional organizations. The network was formed in 1981 in reaction to President Ronald Reagan turning some federal welfare programs into block grant programs.[1]
