In the late 1940s, American Youth for Democracy was the youth wing of Communist Party USA.

In 1944 Mary E. Woolley was a national sponsor of American Youth for Democracy.[1]

ACLU Member

As at Feb. 8, 1946, Mary Woolley, Vice-Chairman National Committee served as an officer for the American Civil Liberties Union.[2]
