Heidi Easton Chua Schwa


Heidi Easton Chua Schwa is a New York Bernie Sanders support activist.

Born in Quezon City, Philippines, Chua Schwa graduated in Political Science at Brooklyn College with a BA thesis on China’s internal migrant workers. Previously, she worked on anti-sweatshop campaigns in Brooklyn and Manhattan Chinatowns. Heidi speaks English, Mandarin, Tagalog, Spanish, and is currently learning German.[1]

Mapping Socialist Strategies was convened from August 1-4 in Briarcliff Manor, NY, by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung—New York Office. It brang together 100 influential progressives and leftists from across the United States, Canada, and Europe for an “un-conference” on socialist strategies.
